I’ve shown homes in the Hartland community to a few sets of buyers over the past couple years, and over the weekend I found myself there again. I attended an event where they unveiled the new Clubhouse and pool which just opened.
Hartland is a 800-acre community nestled between (and accessible via) Route 50 and Evergreen Mills Road, adjacent to the two northern sections of Willowsford.
Hartland is comprised of 775 lots, many of which have already been sold/built on. There are currently four builders with lots still to be released: Van Metre, NV Homes, DRB Homes, and Ryan Homes. The home below is Van Metre’s “Belmont II” model.
A Range of Sizes with Flexible Floor Plans
Homes start from $1.1 million, and the builders offer homesites ranging from one-fifth to one-third of an acre. Square footage is very flexible, as are the number of bedrooms and the floorplans for each of the builders. The smallest home starts around 3,000 square feet, but options to go beyond 5,000 square feet are available.
I love how these builders offer flexible options like Main Level bedrooms, floorplans conducive to multi-generational living, and useful spaces like “prep kitchens” (shown below).
You’ll Find Luxurious Touches Throughout…
The Primary Bathrooms in many of these models are awe-inspiring…check out this one! Of course, they’re all customizable, based on your needs. Some people choose to expand the shower, while other buyers like to make space for a tub. This one has both — with plenty of room to spare!
With a finished lower level, these homes can add considerable square footage and offer a great space for entertaining (and sometimes up to 2-3 extra bedrooms, too!). Check out this gorgeous bar area and creative way to store wine bottles!
Community Amenities Add to Hartland’s Appeal.
Hartland’s community amenities include two clubhouses, where community events are held and which are also available to reserve for private events. There’s a new fitness center, pool…and tennis, pickle ball, basketball, and volleyball courts. You’ll also find plenty of open space with parks, ponds, playgrounds, and an off-leash dog park. Wine enthusiasts will love that Old Farm Winery is located right near one of the clubhouses in the center of the community!

Willowsford also makes produce subscriptions to their farm available to Hartland residents, so you can get fresh veggies delivered to your door…or visit the Farm Stand in person!
Hartland’s Location Can’t Be Beat!
Hartland is right in the “heart” of Loudoun County, with close proximity to schools, major arteries for commuting, shopping, restaurants, and Dulles International Airport. You’re only about 45 minutes from Washington, DC…and even closer to the fantastic “mini metros” of Tysons and Reston. You’ll find dozens of wineries to the west, in addition to historic Middleburg and equestrian opportunities. For those of you who are into sports or fitness, you’ll also love the close proximity of the new Hanson Park, with 257 acres of trails, sports fields of all kinds, a dog park, picnic areas, playgrounds, a skate park, wooded areas, a pond, and a fishing pier.
